Wanderlust

Whenever I commute (which I don't normally do, and when I do, I usually have someone with me), or go to crowded areas (which I don't usually go to), I feel like I'm trying to make a connection with someone.. specifically people of my age or those younger than me, I feel like I want to establish some sort of memorabilia for them to simply remember me. I don't understand this feeling, but to be honest, I want them to know I came across them, even just once. It's the saddening part of life; we don't know that we all connect with each other. In one point in our lives, we've been to a place where people are all different, yet connect at some point. We share something we don't know. For example, maybe you've walked past someone who has the same goal in life, maybe even a problem, hobby, opinion or disability. I don't commute a lot because I don't really go out much, and if I do go out, I'm usually with my sister and we travel via private v...

Updates + A Discourse on Studying Based on my Perspective

Classes were suspended midday since there was a storm brewing in. Oh well. We also had our exams today (and yesterday). The easiest would be.. tenen! Mathematics! Which is really weird. The hardest two would be English (honestly, I had a mental block.. I underestimated it because I'm used to the "application" style exams), and Religion (ohoho). Social Studies/Economics was fairly easy, along with the rest.. but I don't want to get my hopes too high. (p.s. my English is going bad at the moment, please excuse that ahaha) I think that having a tendency to cram during exams is pretty much like masochism because it stresses me out on purpose and that pushes me to study. I honestly don't like being forced to study unless I am interested to learn. (I usually am, but it really depends on the subject) Like this whole "road to becoming a polygot" trend; No one is telling me to study Japanese, Italian, Chinese, etc., but since I'm interested enough to lear...

Updates

School has been okay. Long story short, I've had a lot of problems last month regarding all aspects of my teenage life. Love, family, friends, school. But I'm okay now! I don't draw much, though. Late Independence drawing! (uncolored:  http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd146/eevee_mew/uncoloredhuwagkalimutan.jpg )  I was too lazy to color properly.   Click the image for full view. I am trying my best to study in school. I have been participating a lot more in class (usually..) and I also try to befriend more people. I want my last year in high school to be as memorable as last year. I'm in this stage I call "Acceptance and Appreciation", where I accept everything that comes along my way and I acknowledge them no matter what it is. It's making me more lighthearted in a way that I can't explain, but overall, I still feel happy anyway. I won't regret things that made me happy even though the consequences made me depressed in some way. I...

Sort of Busy Summer?

Image
If anyone noticed, (as if anyone reads my blog. Ahaha!) it's been almost 2 months since I last made a post here. I'm sorry for that. It's because I was pretty busy this summer. Last April 23, I started taking review classes (along with 12 people from my batch of 100 students) for the upcoming college exams (that will be held a few months from now). I obtained a certificate for being one of the .. I don't know, active "reviewers"? The review classes ended a few days ago and we're taking some simulation exams until Friday.  Last May 4, my sister and I (along with 2 of her best friends) went to Beijing, China! It was great! I loved my trip. We went to The Temple of Heaven, The Forbidden City, and The Great Wall, among other places. (I almost fell down the Great Wall!). I also bought a lot of souvenirs.  I fetched my little sister (literally) from the mountains yesterday. She'll be staying over for a few weeks, until school starts. School start...

Achievements in the past school year

Among all the school years I've had.. regardless of the school I went.. 3rd year was the best for me. Not only because I got an unexpected farewell gift from my guy teacher that I have a crush on, but because this is the year that I made a great achievement. I got more friends. Well, maybe for some, this isn't much. As they say, No Man is an Island , but there is always a big difference between strangers, acquaintances, and friends, and close friends. (redirecting topic.. hold on) Strangers refer to people you see maybe once or twice in your lifetime. If you walk down a busy metropolitan road on a Monday morning, you'll come across a lot of people that you don't know. You might just see them maybe once. The next day, another batch of people will be there on that place. So on and so forth. Okay.. well, I might be exaggerating when I say you'll meet them only once or twice.. but even though you meet a little more than that, you still don't know each other...

The end of the school year.. not bad!

That's right. It's the end of the school year.. well.. for most, anyway. I'm still stuck in school practicing for the recognition of the honor students. Unbelievably, I'm one of them. awards: Outstanding in Academics (One of the top 5 out of 100 students) Best in Social Studies Best in Computer Best in Deportment I didn't really expect to have "a lot" of awards. I was only aiming for best in Social Studies and to be in the top 10. I ended up getting Computer as well and got in the top 5. Also, I'm honestly lazy to practice for the recognition.. My throat hurts whenever we sing. Me and a friend of mine skipped 2 days of practice because we were in charge of our class' clearance. That means we hunted for teachers.. and most of them were hard to find. It felt like we were in some sort of quest, haha! Last Monday, I was assigned to check our class' Computer test papers. This time I did the test in Filipino. Checking test papers is actuall...

An update after a long long while

Well.. obviously, I'm a very lazy person when it comes to updating my blog. Today, me and some of our classmates went to school so we could decorate our designated place for our investigatory subject. It was tiring but t'was still fun. After that, we went to a friend's house to celebrate her birthday in advance. We ate upon arriving, then played a little (PSP battles), talked for a while and afterwards, we watched the movie "Knowing". Then we ate some more and went home. I'm still thinking of what to give to my friend. School is pretty much the same. Only one and a half months of school is left. I'm still thinking of my agenda for the next few days. I have to finish some more projects before I could finally study for our final exams. Then I have to find a prom dress for the Juniors-Seniors prom that will be held in a hotel. I got my braces! Sadly, the hooks of the upper part of the braces gave me 3 canker sores. Yes, it hurts.. because the hooks are ...
