Recently, I've been visiting a psychiatrist in a hospital near my uni. I went there because I thought continuously crying for about twice a day and three times a week for 3 months wasn't normal anymore. I guess I was right. I was told I have "severe" depression, and thankfully without psychotic symptoms (yet). I was prescribed some medicine, specifically escitalopram oxalate for the depression and anxiety, and clonazepam to calm me down during panic attacks.  The struggle wasn't only for the inconsistent lows I've been experiencing, but it was mostly the fact that a lot of people think I'm just making up the things I feel, which is very very  hurtful in all aspects. It makes me look like a liar, a drama queen, and a needy person.  I have given up trying to explain to some people that the feelings I experience aren't made up. I have given up trying to explain what I feel, especially when I know the person I'm talking to seems doubtful a...

Paglingon sa Pinanggalingan

First post ever written using my native language. Sometimes it's easier to express yourself in your mother tongue. Mothers know best, right? *wink* I'm using modern Filipino here so if ever anyone wants to open a translator, everything might not be translated correctly.

Transition

Transition is my favorite word. I've never really understood why, but whenever it comes across my mind, I feel the sudden urge to smile and say to myself, "Transition is a great word." What makes it so special? According to my favorite  online dictionary  : transition   [trænˈzɪʃən] n   1.  change or passage from one state or stage to another 2.  the period of time during which something changes from one state or stage to another Well, those aren't the only meanings you could find. But of course I'd choose them instead of the Physics or Music related ones. Have you ever felt a transition happening in your life? No one usually notices until they find themselves already in the other end. We become too caught up of thinking of the future and fulfilling our desires, that we've become unaware of the great, worthwhile road that connects both our past and our future. I am and always will be the type of person who would repetitively ask someone the ...
